Center for Joint Replacement & Surgery

Ankle arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical technique that utilizes small instruments and a fibro-optic camera system. In this technique, the surgeon makes two or three small incisions around the ankle joint through which less than 4 mm diameter instruments are passed inside the ankle joint. With Ankle Arthroscopy we can avoid major open surgical procedures. After the procedure pain, recovery time and surgical scarring are far less than the traditional open surgical procedure. Ankle Arthroscopy is useful in treating varieties of ankle disorders arising from trauma, inflammatory conditions, and degenerative disorders and in some cases of neoplastic disorders.
